GLOBAL SCHOOLS
OBJECTIVES & OVERVIEW

Each participating Primary or Secondary school will nominate ONE eligible student PER SCHOOL.

The Winner will be chosen by an independent evaluation committee.

Winners will each receive an official commemorative Trophy, and a unique package of Educational Resources for the participating school.
The main Objectives of the Gabrielle Gay Award for Excellence in Reading and Literacy (Global Programme) are to:-

Highlight the efforts that young people in academic institutions are making, so as to promote the common goal of an educational future built on fairness, peace, prosperity and sustainability and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).

Create an environment which will encourage and sustain investments in youth Education and Literacy development;

Illustrate the depth and breadth of talent, commitment and creativity that exists among young people across the Commonwealth by highlighting nominees' success stories;

Motivate, encourage and challenge youth to set high standards for their Education at community, national, regional or international levels.
